Selection process

Our centralised recruitment process gives us the opportunity to identify, attract and select the candidates on the market who best suit our philosophy, as it is aimed at maximising the quality of recruitment management, at strengthening the selection criteria and at ensuring maximum transparency. At ProCredit Bank the selection process has several steps and we take every application very seriously. The next sections are intended to familiarise candidates with the principles of our selection process and provide a few tips and hints on how to apply successfully.

The selection process consists of seven stages:

Stage 1: CV

This section can only be completed online via our website. The data you enter into the CV database is essential, because it provides us with necessary information regarding your professional skills and education. Therefore, we urge you to take your time and to ensure that the details you give are complete, consistent and free from mistakes.

Stage 2: Motivation Letter

It is important for us to know your motives for applying to ProCredit. Therefore, we expect that you take the time to find out about our company, so you are able to explain your reasons for applying. Also, your motivation letter is an opportunity to convince us that you are an ideal candidate for the programme.

Your motivation letter should contain the following information:

  • Introduction (information about you and your personality, values, likes and preferences)
  • Past experiences, professional or not, bank-related or not, that you feel will be useful to ProCredit
  • Why you want to work for ProCredit Bank
  • What you know about ProCredit Bank and ProCredit Holding
  • What your expectations from ProCredit Bank are

Please remember that the letter should be a summary, so it should not be very long (max. 250 words). All relevant information about our group and ProCredit Bank Moldova can be found in multiple languages on the following websites: www.procreditbank.md and: www.procredit-holding.com.

Only online applications can be accepted. Incorrect or inappropriate CVs and motivation letters will not be taken into consideration for the selection process

Stage 3: Telephone Conversation

If your CV and Motivation Letter attract our interest we will call you for a telephone conversation. This conversation will include questions about the information provided in your CV as well as additional questions that will allow us to get to know you better. The call will take approximately 20 – 30 minutes, so we recommend taking time to ensure that you are in a quiet place where you will not be distracted. If you receive our call at a time that is not convenient for you, please let us know so that we can schedule a more suitable appointment.

The next stages take place in Chisinau. If you live elsewhere, you will need to be able to travel to continue with the selection process. The bank will reimburse your expenses.

Stage 4: Test (Mathematics and Logic)

This stage involves you taking a mathematics and logic test, which lasts around 60 minutes. In order to pass the test, you need to score a minimum of 65%. When preparing for the test, please take the following into consideration:

  • Make use of the sample tests which can be downloaded from here Test 1, Test 2, Test 3
  • Practise and study the material without using a calculator, as you will not be allowed to use one during the test.
  • Keep track of the time when working through the exercises in order to develop both speed and accuracy.

Passing this test is necessary to move on to the next stage of the selection process.

Stage 5: Group Discussion

In this step, current economic and social topics will be addressed and discussed in an open forum. Group discussions are made up of two rounds of 40 – 50 minutes each. These group activities also provide an opportunity for us to assess cognitive abilities, as well as the communication and social skills of the participants.

 Stage 6: Individual Interview

If you perform well in the group discussions you will be invited to an individual interview, where we can discuss your interests and the expectations of both parties in detail. This is a good opportunity for you to ask any questions that you may have. After the individual interview, a decision will be made as to whether you will be invited to take part in the two-week focus session.

Step 7: Two-week "Focus Session"

The final step is a two-week workshop with a group of selected applicants. During this “focus session” all shortlisted applicants gather together in a quiet location away from the capital city. All costs are covered by the bank. The main objective of this intensive stage is for the participants to get know ProCredit as an institution better AND for ProCredit to get to know the candidates better. This step introduces the participants to the features that define ProCredit as an institution and how we view responsible banking and ethical principles as reflected in our business model. Discussion and debates about philosophical issues allow potential candidates to gain a broad understanding of various ways of thinking about morality and ethical dilemmas.

This retreat aims to help candidates become more conscious and critical about the moral decisions we all face in our everyday personal and professional lives. Upon successful completion of the two-week focus session candidates are invited to participate in the ProCredit Entry Programme .

The whole selection process in ProCredit Bank is centralised in Chisinau. All those applicants who travel from other cities will be reimbursed for their transportation costs, i.e. the price of a return ticket by bus. We would like to thank you once again for your interest and to wish you the best of luck.
